Light Therapy, or Photobiomodulation as it is known in the scientific community, has recently become one of the most researched areas of science. Why? The biological effects on the body are not only fascinating, but do amazing things. Certain wavelengths of Blue Light have mood enhancing properties that can help with Seasonal Affective Disorder (SAD). Specific wavelengths of Red Light penetrate beyond the surface layer of the skin to help with pain and circulation. New studies are coming out regularly regarding the benefits of Near-infrared light on brain trauma and afflictions like dementia and Alzheimer’s. These are just a few examples – there are over 5,000 published papers on the benefits of Light Therapy!

As we continue to expand our knowledge base, we invite you to join us. We’ll be blogging about a myriad of topics – pain, circulation, inflammation, cell renewal – the list goes on.

We are here to be your resource, answer your questions, and share what we’ve learned, and experienced, with people and pets. Feel free to email us: contactus@photonictherapynw.com
