Panels range in size and, depending on the size, can can be placed on the floor, hung from a door or wall, or even stored in a handbag, briefcase, or drawer. Generally speaking, the client (pet or person) will sit, stand, or lie, about 6 inches away from the panel for a few to several minutes, depending on the issue being addressed. Some small panels are battery operated, but the larger panels plug into a standard receptacle.
If you have a sick pet, or one recovering from injury or surgery, a panel can be a good way to apply light over a large area without having to touch or move your pet.
The most popular colors of light for panels are red, and near infrared, although there are some available with blue, and even green light, as well.
